Don Omar has revealed that he’s battling cancer in his latest Instagram post on Monday (June 17).

“Today yes, but tomorrow I won’t have cancer,” he captioned a photo that shows his hospital wristband from an Orlando-based medical center. “Good intentions are well received. See you soon. #f–kcancer.”

Billboard has reached out to his team for further comment.

The health news comes just hours after the Puerto Rican artist (real name William Omar Landrón Rivera) posted a video of a group of dancers auditioning for the second leg of his Back to Reggatón Tour.

“The most special thing about today’s auditions is seeing that there are people who want to dare to dream with me,” he expressed in the Saturday (June 15) post. “Thank you to each of you who gave your all on the dance floor! This second stage of the tour comes with everything.”

The “Pobre Diabla” singer — who made his highly awaited comeback with his 2023 album Forever King — hit the road in the spring with a 20-date trek that ran from March 7 to April 21, wrapping at the Kaseya Center in Miami. In the midst of the tour, the Boricua hitmaker added 18 more dates to the CMN-produced stint.

The second leg of the Back to Reggaetón tour is set to kick off Aug. 7 in Oakland, Calif., and will make pit stops in cities including San Diego; Portland, Ore.; Tampa, Fla.; and Ontario, Calif., before finishing at the UBS Arena in Elmont, N.Y., on Sept. 15.

Don Omar’s comeback tour, which marks his first major headlining trek in a decade and his first since the Kingdom Tour with Daddy Yankee in 2015, has grossed $17.8 million and sold 146,000 tickets over its first 14 shows (through April 7), according to Billboard Boxscore numbers.
